Going to be in California for the weekend, and have reserved a bike from Folsom bikes. Not trying to get in any quality training, but rather just looking to ride around the area for a couple of hours, and maybe even stop off for a snack and a beer. I will be renting a Trek 7.3 so some flexibility in terrain. Any suggestions? I am sure the bike store can send me off in the right direction, but thought I would ask here too.

You can hop onto the American River Bike Trail across the street from Folsom Bike. You'll get on the bike trail at around mile 30 and you can take the trail all the way to Sacramento. A nice 60 mile ride, that is mostly flat. Here's a link to an article on the bike trail by the local paper:

There are also a ton of routes on the streets. If you want to do climbing, the foothills are minutes away.

Folsom bike has routes listed on their website:

Weather is going to be nice this weekend, with highs in the 80s.

Hope you have a blast!

This month, drills make up about 15% of each workout, and we’re adding in a bit of sprinting/anaerobic work.
