Any BTers near Baton Rouge?

Lots of folks run the LSU lakes and the levee, guess it depends on the distances you're wanting to run (http://www.mapmyrun.com/us/baton-rouge-la/) Unfortunately there aren't tons of local options for bike routes but plenty of cyclist ride from the L'auberge Casino or from "the split" or Alligator Bayou, and if you want to ride in "the hills" there is St. Francisville. There seems to be group rides pretty frequently and at all paces. You can PM me if you'd like. Hope that helps at least kickstart the research and an early welcome to the Boot!

We have several YMCA's available with outdoor and indoor pools. You may want to check out BRTRI or The Bicycle Shop facebook page for some group ride information. Lots of places to run, including around the LSU lakes, running path on top of the MS River levee. It runs from just past LSU campus all the way into down town by the casinos and the USS Kidd.

Lots of good information above there is a group that does ride out of City Park (near LSU) but the best riding is down in the Alligator Bayou area (IMHO as I live in that area). I usually ride Saturday mornings if you want a riding partner. Quite a few group rides come thru here also.

Thanks for the leads. Not sure where I'll be spending my weekends, might be in the Kenner/Metarie area or along the Northshore. Will definitely be making some runs around the lake by campus and along the levee. On a different topic, other than the Bridgeman Duathlon on June 8th, are there any triathlons in the BR/NOLA/Northshore area in the month of June?
