Subject: Spending Few Days in Austin, Any Suggestions for Running and Swimming?
Hi, I am going to be spending Thursday - Sunday in Austin and wanted to get in some runs and pool time. Does anyone have any suggestions for good trails/routes in the Austin area and pools for a daily fee to get in some laps?

I am going to be staying in the Travis Heights area.

Thanks.

Lucky for you 2 of our best resources are right downtown. For swimming go to Barton Springs. It is a natural spring pool. 1/8 mile long, clear, cold, 68' water. 3 bucks a swim unless you arrive before 8 and it's free. Changing facilities and showers. Also try Deep Eddy pool which is nearby. Right across the street is the Town Lake Trail. Loops up to 10 miles on a crushed granite path. It is very popular. Have a great time here in Austin !
