Never mind, found it. Mine seems to be the same as what my number was when I registered. Does that mean you registered second? Wow.

I am heading out again on Saturday to bike the course. Might do one lap only and then do my run, it depends on how energetic I'm feeling.

I think I probably registered first but because number 1 traditionally goes to the winner from the race last year, that is why I am not. We'll have to see who is number one! I hate biking in the city and I need to learn how to deal with the traffic!!!

Happy training!

15 days till raceday!!!!

Sarah Kolpin is number 1, that explains it. I was going over the race results to see how it went just to try to guess where I might land. I was amazed at the kind of results that Sarah got, and then later found that she is a regular winner around here and was named best new female triathlete or something by USAT.

I biked the course on Saturday and then did the run. The weather was TERRIBLE and the traffic got pretty heavy on the second loop. I figured if I can manage that, race day will be a breeze. I even managed to do the run afterwards, which was nice.

I really wish I could get out to do that bike course, but I am going to have to keep doing the courses around the U. I am worried that if I go out too hard in the beginning with the run I will have problems with the final run.
As for Sarah, she is awesome. Last year they explained her story. She is in medical school and competing on the side and kicking butt in all kinds of different races all over the place. I can't imagine doing the training and medical school. We'll see how well she does again.
Good luck with your final week of training and see you next Sunday!

Good luck everyone and have a great time.  I hope the weather improves.  This didn't work out for me this year - too much going on to feel good about being prepared for the race.  I'll be thinking about you!

I was really anxious for a few days, with bad dreams and everything. But now I am feeling more confident. I've read a few race reports from the WI Ironman and realized that this little race is nothing! How silly to worry. I am still worried about the traffic and will be careful to keep my wits about me (and ready to unclip at any time...). I will also have a small cheering section which will be great. Right now I think it's the fear of the unknown so I will be glad to have my first race under my belt come Sunday afternoon

Good luck to all!

Don't you love reading the race reports for other races? I think they motivate me so much. I am actually staying in Bloomington so I don't have to worry about getting up at a really really early time to get to the race site. I am getting really excited and pretty nervous. I think I have to keep reminding myself that no matter what happens the goal of all my races for my first season has been to cross that finish line happy and relatively healthy. Well good luck everyone! I will be there to cheer you on or hopefully you will cheer me on if it takes me forever to cross that line, but take care and remember we are all going to be Irongirls by tomorrow!
