Comments:

Started in a pack, but it thinned out really quickly as we hit the first climb. I ended up in no man's land for a bit, but knew a headwind was coming so I closed the gap on 2 runners in PRR AG singlets and sat on them for a bit. Unbelievable how good I felt for the first 2 miles and was having fun playing with them a bit. I pulled even with them and took the inside on some long curves so they had to take the longer outside. :-)

Around the end of mile3 one of them was breathing heavy and the other was fading, so I started to put in a few attacks. Broke free, quickly, but was reeled in by one on the uphills. Finally dropped him, but a third runner caught me and was running through the field with ~2/3mi to go. I sat in and refused to be dropped on the downhill. The final sprint was back up though and he had me easily so I just stayed steady and held off the rest of the field.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.

Warm down:

Cheered on other runners and saw some friends finish. Then ran with K on part of her long run. Ended up going pretty far and was beat by the end.

Event comments:

Great local race.
