Looking for a new helmet as my old LG has finally taken its last breath. Any suggestions as to what is new and hot out on the course? I am not worried about looks or heat... just the most benefit from a helmet as I can get.

A bunch of ST guys (and Jim Manton from ERO Sports) had a recent Aero Camp day.  The new LG P-09 worked the best on the most people.  That's not to say it would work the best on you but that it performed the best on a sampling of a dozen people in their testing.  Short of leasing your own wind tunnel time, that's the best most of us have to go on.

I wear a Giro Selector and couldn't be happier. It fits my head perfectly and seems pretty good aerodynamically as well. Also, you may be able to get it a decent price now.

I'm sponsored by Rudy... so naturally I use the Rudy Project Wingspan.

If you don't have a way to test for yourself, buy the helmet that you think looks the coolest.
In the wind tunnel what looks fast and what IS fast can be Vastly different.

That said, the Selector and the 09 both test fairly well on a broad sweep of people, as do most of the aero road helmets.

All the advice you got is good

The LG has tested fastest on several athletes it seems like a good choice
The road helmets like the Evade do well, not as well as a full aero helmet but they have the advantage of being cooler and look less dorky.
I tested a Selector and it was a slight bit faster than the Giro Advantge 2. But is was very very slight. It is warmer an harder to get on (for me).
The Giro Advantage 2 tests well with many athletes (measured at A3 aero camp). The advantage here is that you can get it for pretty cheap.

If money is no object I would go for the LG or Kask Bambino
If cost is a factor the Giro A2 if you get it cheap.
For convenience, the Evade. Especially if doing short course.

Aso, when saying one is 'faster' than the other, the differences are very hard to measure.
