Pre-race routine:

Awaken at 4AM. 1/2 bagel with 28oz Roctane ultra endurance drink.

Pre-race stretching by Accelerated, lots of walking and stretching.

Comments:

Very crowded run, but able to keep moving forward. No walking at all except in aid stations while drinking.
2 cups of Gatorade Endurance Formula at all 5 aid stations.
What would you do differently?:

Push a little harder from start to get through crowds
Post race
Warm down:

2 bottles of water, 1 banana, and 2 cups of Gatorade.
Lots of stretching and walking.
Iced down legs.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Very crowded run.

Event comments:

Very fun. Would do again if I could ensure an earlier starting spot to avoid crowds.

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.

Yes, the Dual is a little heavier than Cervèlo’s high end counterparts. But…the price is within reach of the masses and it still incorporates all of the design features that make a Cervèlo special.
