Event comments:

dutrirun continues to be disorganized. Again this year they posted results with the Clydesdale division labeled Athena. Not a huge deal but very annoying. Heard complaints from the sprint division that the bike course distance was 2-3 miles longer than posted distance. Finished and was unable to even get my official event time at the race waited over 45 minutes and nothing. Had to find out I won my division online hours later. I wish they would get their act together on some of this stuff.

For those looking at doing this event in the future. The swim is two laps in a manmade lake that is very shallow. It's great for beginners as you can walk much of the swim if you wish. The swim seams short to me as well. Roads for bike and run are pretty decent. Run course is very flat. Overall I think there were close to 500 participants in all the races.

Congrats on getting first in your division!

I did the sprint(my first tri) and was wondering why the bike seemed a little bit longer. On the searchable results when i selected my name it had my bike MPH at 20.2, but it didn't make sense with my corresponding time, but it does now!

I wonder why it was extended?

Was the olympic bike leg longer as well?

This particular event has always had longer cycling routes. I think the sprint is more like 17 and the Olympic is 30 miles rather than 40k. Not sure why, perhaps to make up for the short "swim".
