Swim
Comments: Well my swim is awful but I knew that. Bad, ick slow. However I didn't swim over the winter and I know I could improve if I put more time and effort into that. I have really focused more on biking and running and it shows in my swim. My navigation was awful too, another thing to work on. Transition 1
Comments: Timing issues, don't have T1 or T2 times Bike
Comments: I was pleased with my bike performance. I was pushing it throughout the entire 18 miles shooting for 18mph avg. I was right on target hitting the turnaround at 30 minutes then had a headwind most of the return and came up 3 mins too long. Nice flat course, just one actual hill and it wasn't bad. Transition 2
Run
Comments: I don't normally run trails, usually fall if I do..... When I got off the bike I had some tingling and numbness in my left foot but mostly just tired legs from pushing that segment. The first two miles of the run I was sluggish and lifting my legs more for the trail was a challenge. What would you do differently?: I am happy with my run given my usual running surface is the road or treadmill. It was a fun run through the woods. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, chatted with my partner and sister. had some pizza and watermelon, nice treat. The weather was really beautiful! 70's. Great race, really enjoyed it. I printed off my results which said I came in 4th in my AG so I didn't stay for the awards. Turns out the 1st place finisher won Masters which bumped me on up to an award! How fun to win my first award! Last updated: 2014-06-16 12:00 AM
