Doing a 5k tonight called Drop Your Drawers and Run Wild.  With a name like that and an after-party at the zoo, just couldn't pass it up.  Good luck with your tri!

I'm going to "Tri-the-Bull" this weekend

Local sprint with only 100 racers, fun and low key. Will be my first race on a TT bike, moved up from my hybrid commuter so I'm hoping for a faster bike split.

Cincinnati Triathlon! Sprint distance. Swim is in the Ohio River, hopefully the current can help me along.

Good luck spill, I hope you put up a race report. I had originally planned on this one as well but ended up backing out and doing one last weekend instead because we got tickets to the Nascar race (which I have never been nor ever thought I'd go but figured what the hell!)

I am. I am doing the Iron Horse Tri. It is a sprint with a 400m swim. This will be my second OWS but first mass start. Good luck to everyone.

No triathlon for me - the semi-local one was full by the time I thought I might be ready to sign up, unfortunately. I am doing a 5K Saturday at the festival downtown tomorrow!

Ditto. Great event and weather forecast looks favorable but will be humid.

Against my better judgement, I'm going to sneak out and run a 5k in the adjacent county.  It is kind of spur of the moment but after the my last few races (two weeks ago a very hilly 5 mile trail race and last weekend a hilly marathon) I need something flat and fast.  I'm also going to do my first track 5k on Monday evening so this will be kind of a warmup to that.  The field is not very deep and the awards are pretty nice.  I am a sucker for a ribbon, medal, or trophy.

Cincy tri...my second time doing this, I'm doing the sprint. Did my first 3 weeks ago and had a blast! I think I'm over my OWS anxiety but not thrilled about swimming in the ohio river. Went to a pre-race meeting and watched an entire 35ft long tree float by! Also had a coworker tell me he ran over a dead bloated cow while water skiing last summer...ugh, that didn't help! Good luck to everybody!

I was at the same meeting, thought it was pretty nice they did that since it's my first race. I was downtown last night and joked to my wife that she'd have to come get me when I hit my head on the logs that were floating by.

See you there neighbor, good luck!
