Subject: Kansas First Timer
Hi, I'm Ross. I Just finished my first sprint triathlon at the Wichita waterfront triathlon today. It was rough and slow but I was glad to finish!

I think I'll probably start training for other ones as this was a blast to do! I'm hoping to find some others in my area to get to know.

Congrats, TRIATHLETE! Welcome to BT Ross ... have you posted in the Kansas and other midwestern state forums? Hopefully you'll find some training buddies!

Deciding on an Ironman as my first venture into triathlon was greeted with incredulity and astonishment combined with a hint of, "well, you're full of yourself aren't you?" and, "a bit ambitious?"

I never imagined that 350 yards broken down into 7 REALLY long lanes would be so big! I gasped out loud and told Grady that maybe I had underestimated the swim.
