Comments:

I swallowed some water on the last lap of the course, and had trouble breathing. I hung onto a kayak for a few minutes. That cost me some time.
I also worked on drafting, so I wonder how I would have done if I hadn't had to pause.
And I started to the right, at the buoy line. It wasn't crowded at all. I think I'll do that again.

This plan is designed to make you go faster. 3 workouts per week in each sport, 2 days of strength training and core work. The maximum volume is around 10 hours toward the end of the 12 weeks.

This plan is an advanced plan in terms of volume and intensity and appropriate for someone who is looking to go under 5:00 and as fast as 4:30. There isn’t a lot of fluff in the plan.

The first time I ventured into the deep murky green lake and could not see the bottom my muscles tensed and my imagined fears surfaced. What exactly lies beneath?
