Hey all!
Kim is out racing this weekend (go get em Kim!) so thought I would take over. Was everyone busy training? Racing? Post em!

For me -
Saturday:
2 hours on the trainer with intervals. Had a horrible trainer ride last week so happy this one went much better!

Sunday- nothing - rest day - whew!

I used to post on another forum and they always had a daily question. I thought it was fun so will ask:

What tires do you use for your bike/bikes? Training and racing?

I used to have Continental GP4000 on my road bike, but had a few blowouts so will probably go to Gatorskins.

My TT bike has Vittoria Rubino Pros, but will be changing these out soon as they are getting worn!

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

I rode the course of my next tri at the end of Sept. 27.8km in 50m45s. Quite pleased.

As for the tires, I train and race on the tires which came with the bike, don't know what they are. But I do know they are at 110psi lol!

Did my first Olympic last weekend, so after taking it VERY easy this week, started back at the pool this morning, 1800m. Next up is a sprint in Sep and then start training for Philadelphia HM in November.

Racing on Saturday in Oly in nearby town. Not very impressed with my results. 3rd in AG; 2:41:32. It would have taken sub-2:29 to win 45-49 women. (No, course is not short, either! We just have some amazing athletes in Oregon, particularly on the bike.) Knew the swim and transitions would be difficult due to bruised ribs from recent mishap, and they were, but bike was not that great either. I hadn't calculated that riding in aero would also be kind of painful. I just suffer on the bike anyway so it didn't feel much worse than usual, but I don't think I was breathing properly and bike leg pretty slow. Cramped badly first mile of run but managed to get rid of it and then pushed the rest of the run very hard. The only satisfying part of the whole race is that I pushed the last miles of the run so hard that a woman who tried to hang with me had to stop and walk with 1/2 mile to go!

Probably last tri of season due to conflicts of fall SE Asia races with work demands. After a year of being consistently sick or injured for my races, but otherwise healthy and training consistently, and doing the same bike split umpteen times despite lots of training, about ready to "retire" from tri.

Sunday--Celebrated "retirement" (at least for this summer) by riding 25 miles in about two hours and picking a couple quarts of blackberries en route.

i got some training in , but not to the level I wanted...

Saturday - supposed to be long ride (6.5 hours)/3 mile run - after sitting in traffic for 2+ hours, then trying to reroute (I have to drive to get hills for training) - I headed home and did my Sunday ride/run (1hr bike/2 mile run)

Sunday - got to where I was trying to get Saturday - got 4 hours in and on the way back for my 2nd loop of a 30 mile course, came around a corner and hit a hole (it was that, or ride off into a ditch - I had a car on the other side) - the minute I hit it, I knew, flat...hobbled my way back to car (about 2 miles) - tried to change the tire...after 20 minutes of struggling and not even getting the tire off, I admitted defeat and did my run
