I ran a 5k yesterday on a course that holds 5ks and walks almost if not every weekend.
Typically these 5ks have a lot of runners - this one had 200!

The 5k starts and is led out by a police car and the road is closed.

After about 5 min or so I hear yelling from the rear. Continuing on about 30 seconds later an older gentleman screams at a runner on your left as he is whipping down the course on a tri bike. The further along he went the louder and more aggravated he seemed.

I thought it was funny, but other runners were rather perturbed!

And if you made it this far - I finished in 28:40 my best time yet! New PR means new goal!

That is just weird. I have seen plenty of people ride bikes along side races to cheer people on, but nothing like that. Maybe he was supposed to do another race in the area, got lost, and thought that everyone else had to run because their bikes broke down.

maybe he is super type A that is part of his normal training route and got upset other people decided to have a race while he wanted to train and just could not wait 30 minutes.

next goal is 9 min or sub 9 min miles on a 5k - so shave abour 45 seconds off.

Also to run a 10k by end of the season.

Congrats on your 5k.  The bike guy just sounds like a jerk.
