Swim

  • 1500 meters
  • 04m 20s / 100 meters
Comments:

I was anxious about the swim since I had not trained much. However, I started out great! I had a good pace and even drafted and felt I could keep that pace without a problem. After I rounded the first buoy I noticed a lot of different colored caps in the water still. As I swam to the next buoy it seemed as it was not getting closer It wasn't. The tide was coming in and I was not making progress. I fought hard to make tit to the next buoy. Once there I had to stop and rest, with about five other guys. I tried to get to the next buoy but I was pushed back.. The race management eventually turned us all around. The tide was too much for us all.
There is a big step coming out of the water and when I took my first step my leg cramped so bad. Medical gave me salt and electrolytes.
Transition 1
  • 05m 48s
Comments:

Its a long run from the water o the bike and my leg was still cramping. I at a gu and forgot my blocks for the bike. I had nothing left for the bike and people passed me like I was standing still. Had to walk my bike up the hill.

This plan is designed to make you go faster. 3 workouts per week in each sport, 2 days of strength training and core work. The maximum volume is around 10 hours toward the end of the 12 weeks.

This plan is an advanced plan in terms of volume and intensity and appropriate for someone who is looking to go under 5:00 and as fast as 4:30. There isn’t a lot of fluff in the plan.
