No reviews on line. Anyone have experience w/these wheels? What's wrong w/them, i.e. why so inexpensive?

They may be great, but they sure ain't light: Ultra lightweight wheel set at only 2039g for a pair. Heck, many relatively inexpensive allow wheels are 100s of grams lighter. . . .

Thanks for the reply. Which are some of "relatively inexpensive" you have in mind?

Nashbar has the wheels on sale this week. Just bought a pair for $414.00. I'm looking for the aero advantage not the weight.

Those wheels are pre- Firecrest. The rim is 20mm wide at the braketrack.
Newer wheels are >23mm wide at the braketrack. The wider rim has better aerodymanics, and decreases tire rolling resistance. Newer wheels will try to turn into sidewinds, making for a more stable ride. Older aero wheels turn away from sidewinds, which is less stable for the riders.

I ultimately ended up going for a pair of Flo 60's & 30's for my roadie. A lot more expensive, but a lot let expensive than the "major players." Not at all comfy w/Vuelta's lack of data... anywhere.

TerrW: I'd be interesting to hear of your ride quality... AND PICTURES!!!!

I mounted up the wheels with a set of Michelin 4's and some lite tubes. I have yet to ride on them as the weather has turned for the worse. I'll let you know.

I don't have the Carbon ones, but I do have the lites and I have been running them for two years. No problems at all. I am also 6' and over 220 lbs.

Whole setup runs about 18.5 lbs or 8.4 kg.

Those are a great-looking set of wheels. Do you feel a difference in ride quality from the wheels they replaced? I might still be interested in getting some for my MTB which I don't ride nearly as much as my tri/roadie.
