Just loosened up arms, swinging them around.
Swim
  • 12m 54s
  • 750 meters
  • 01m 43s / 100 meters
Comments:

I didn't wear a wetsuit, so I imagine my swim wasn't as fast as others. The water was way too warm for a wetsuit though.
Transition 1
  • 01m 40s
Comments:

The start was really crowded, so I had a hard time running with my bike. So, when I jumped on, I didn't have much momentum going and came to a stop.
Bike
  • 42m 45s
  • 16 miles
  • 22.46 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt pretty good on the bike.
Transition 2
  • 01m 11s
Run
  • 21m 26s
  • 5 kms
  • 04m 17s  min/km
Comments:

I didn't bother stopping at any of he aid stations, since it's such a short distance.
Post race
Event comments:

This was my first race since spraining my ankle in January, so I decided to start with an easy sprint. The race felt good, and I was happy to see that I can still perform at a high level after the injury.

When I told my husband that I planned to work toward completing a sprint triathlon, he smiled and was supportive, but a bit disbelieving.

This plan is designed to make you go faster. 3 workouts per week in each sport, 2 days of strength training and core work. The maximum volume is around 10 hours toward the end of the 12 weeks.

I was passing others who were saying, "Good job, 587" (that was my race number). People were cheering me on. These were the nicest people I have ever been around!

If you haven’t done any bricks yet, this isn’t the time to start piling them on, but here are some examples you could do in the lead up to your race.

Since your “A” race is your marathon, which you stated in your question, this should be your main focus. I encourage you to taper a bit for the sprint distance triathlon.

Since I didn't have much time and since it's a super sprint, am I OK just go to at the training relatively hard through Thursday or even Friday?
