Run
Comments: It was great for my purpose. I ran the first 5 miles with a friend who runs at a 10m/m pace, so we went out slow and met the 5 mile mark right at 50mins. We planned to split at that point anyway, so I ran ahead and finished the other 5 miles in 40 minutes. The 8 m/m pace felt about right. At the rate I went, I finished feeling like I had plenty more in me. What would you do differently?: My approach suited my purpose, but if I were really trying to put in the best race I could, I would have headed out at an 8m/m pace Post race
Warm down: None really. Event comments: I love the route, thought it was very well-organized, and really loved the t-shirts (real Asics performance fabric rather than the typical cotton t). They had someone doing massages, but the wait-list was too long so I didn't hang around. They could have offered a little more variety in food afterward, as they only had bagels, but I never eat at the food at these things anyway. Last updated: 2006-08-19 12:00 AM

None really.
I stretched, but did not warm up. I planned to just run it at LSD distance and use it as a long run, rather than really racing it, so I figured I'd warm up on course.
