Subject: Cant get rid of my god dam beer gut
Hi There
I have a beer gut that just wont go , i have lost lots of weight and now look like some tall skinny girl who is pregnant ! i dont want to loose more weight as such as i am tall etc

I dont eat to much crap so please how can i shift the stomach fat ? is it now down to intense exercise ? any tips?

Whats the fastest way to burn it ? swim ? run ?

Street food tour of India? More seriously, maybe more core exercises like sit-ups to increase muscle definition there? Not an expert on weight loss, but it's my understanding that there isn't really such a thing as spot reduction. Different individuals retain fat in different places, and there are also gender differences (most women in the hips, thighs, and boobs, men in the belly) You can only work on balancing nutrition and activity, and improving muscle tone in areas you're not happy with. Even skinny runners will often have some "muffin top" midriff flab unless they do quite a bit of core work--it's not an area that's really worked in running. Don't know that I could recommend swimming for general weight control--I always seem to empty the fridge after a long swim workout--but it does tend to work the core a bit more, especially fly and dolphin kick.

I second strength building. Have you tried stuff like burpees, planks etc?

Or you can come hang out with me for a while. I've got a wicked case of some kind of stomach bug I'll give ya. It has flattened my stomach to nothing!

I might suggest you continue your diet routine and workout routine that has gotten you where you are, except with s few modifications. Take a real hard look at your diet and decide if you are still eating a crap diet, but just less of it! Modify as needed to get some good clean calories in your system. Increase your protein and caloric intake a bit and get in some really long low intensity runs or bike rides. Your body will burn fat on these long workouts once glycogen stores are depleted. Keep in mind that while your skinny parts might not look fat, there is probably fat marbled in there that you can't see. That's going to burn too and it might take a bit to get to the gut fat. As the others have suggested, implement core work and lots of it. You're not going to spot reduce, but you will need the core strength for the longer workouts and it will definitely improve the appearance of your midsection just by adding muscle tone that is probably lacking. I'm suggesting this based on the assumption that you are under fifty. The idea being you can still build muscle with the protein increase in your diet, burn the remaining fat instead of muscle on longer workouts and strengthen core muscles to improve the appearance of that area. It will take some work to find that balance, but you can get results if you stick to it. Then there's always liposuction.

Getting six pack abs or toning up the mid section starts and ends in the kitchen. Clean diet is the key.

Hit the iron

Clean the diet

Rinse and repeat

Unless one is in calorie deficit, then one is gaining fat, by definition.

Genetics play a big role in where you store fat. Fat is not won or lost in the gym but in the kitchen.

Not knowing how big your belly really is, and I'm not a doctor, but...

If you haven't been to a doctor for a while, you may want to get some blood work done on liver function. Liver disease can result in a swollen liver, and as you lose weight everywhere else, the swollen liver becomes more pronounced.

Hi,

I assume by now you already familiar with exercise and dieting. So perhaps you could crank up the level a little bit. Do some High-Intensity-Interval-Training (HIIT) at least 3 times a week. This burn more calories than normal cardio exercise.

Also, you could cut down the amount of food you have into smaller portion and eat more often; every 2 to 3 hours. Your stomach will adapt to the size of meal you ingest; smaller portion = smaller stomach.

Overall, the key is discipline. Train hard, eat healthy, and well rested.
