Hi everybody. I'm back after a very long break. Like 6 years.

In 2008/2009 I did a couple sprints and an Olympic and hit my personal goals - largely thanks to this website. Now it's almost 2015 and I'm back where I started. Fat and out of shape. On a lark I started running about 2 months ago. Still not sure why, but I did. And then the thoughts started again.

And now I'm going to TRI again. With large enough goals that I won't be able to say 'There, I did it.' again. So I'm saying right from the start - My goal is to complete a Full Ironman length triathlon under the time cutoff. I know this sounds absolutely insane at this point, but if the goal isn't large enough I'll check it off and go back to eating chips on the couch.

So hello again! Glad to be back (and kinda cool that my ID was still active BT!) Now gotta go get new tires for the bike...

Does it matter how fast you go? Does it matter if you win? No. It only matters that you tri your best and smile when you cross the finish line.
