Subject: RE: does anybody use wahoo kickr with strava segments? Honestly it's a mixed bag. I do have the app. Used it about 4 times, BUT because I'm trapped inside currently with a broken elbow I'm using it more.
I think the main limitation is you can't decide to do multiple segments. It's just one at a time. Which is ok if you have a long one you want to do, but those can be hard to find.
I had to go to Strava's website to find the segment code for a 24km triathlon course, as it wouldn't sppear on the search in the app.
It's a VERY powerful app. It's the best non- video app I hsve, esp as it doesn't need a subscription. BUT for the price, there are a few limitations that are SUPREMELY annoying.
If you compare it to TrainingPeaks, and a number of other subscription things that are amazing, but overkill, for someone like me who uses it once a week.
I suppose the only issue is price. I think the main way I use it, is the run routes I KNOW and cycle when it's not winter. I've tried Kinomap, etc, and if I'm honest Strava/wahoo hits the spot just right for me. If it was even £10 I'd give it 4-5 star, but the current price has to drop it to a max of 3.
I'll have a bigger review, and how I've used it as rehab following my crash on www.titaniumgeek.com in a few days
