Subject: Bailey/Wilson Area
I am looking for possible training partners in the Bailey/Wilson area. I did 2 sprints and one olympic last year and am trying to get ready for Raleigh 70.3 in May. If there is anyone in the area who is interested in riding or running together, let me know. I am not real fast, but will give everything I have to keep up if possible.

I'm not local but I am following the HIM training plan on here to prepare for Raleigh! I'm happy to cheer, nag and encourage digitally.

I hope you found info on Wilson Triathlon Club. I live in Wilson and it's fairly large tri club for a small town. Over 40 members and large group at all levels. Sprint, Oly, Half and Ultra distance members. Membership fees include Open Water Swimming in Wilson at least 3x a week, lots of organized bike rides, training run, etc

We have a meeting this Thursday, May 7th in Wilson. See the facebook public page at Wilson Triathlon Club.

I got about a minute into it and, despite bracing myself against it for months, I panicked. I could not get my breath. I said, "I can't do this, I can't do this."

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

The triathletes really inspired me. I watched them in awe as childlike thoughts went through my head like, "I want to do that!" But then reality set in. “Who are you kidding?
