Not during your workouts but just in daily life. I sit at a desk all day and I am struggling to get down 40 ounces during the day.

80-100 oz a day. I use an app to track my intake which works really well for me. You can set reminders and goals and what not.

I also sit at a desk most of the day; I have a 25 oz water bottle and I aim to finish 2 of those (minimum) while I'm at work. I start and end each day drinking 12 oz. So right there I'm at 74 oz, without adding anything from meals or workouts. It takes some purposeful thought at first, but it's getting easier for me as I go along.

As much or as little as I need to not feel thirsty.  I don't think it is necessary to force a certain (random?) amount of water in per day.  Ambient temperature, humidity, activity level, health conditions amongst other factors will affect how much you need.  I think a good guide is to check that the colour of your urine is a pale straw colour.

x2 for me. I have never tracked my intake during non-workout time.

I have recently upped my water intake considerably.  I had an episode of vertigo and one of the potential causes is dehydration.  I went from very little water to 6 or 7 large glasses a day.  The good news is the vertigo went away.   I am still drinking water to keep it from coming back.  I have no idea if the water actually helped.  I think there are other health benefits too for the kidneys, heart, and brain.

I drink very little water because it bores me.  I do try to drink as much other fluids as I can though.  Mostly G2, at least 40-60 ounces a day.  A few glasses of milk.  Maybe a diet soda.

I also drink about 3 or 4 cups of coffee a day which probably is not helping and a few beers now and again.

I used to suffer from kidney stones and figured it was due to chronic dehydration.

I don't track water carefully, but I have a 32oz bottle I use at work. I drink 3-4 of those at work everyday. So, I'd say on an average day probably 1.5gallons with meals and workouts included.

I have a 64 oz bottle that I take everywhere. I found that Kroger's Pineapple Mango flavor is strong enough (for me) to flavor the whole bottle with 1 packet. That makes killing 2+ bottles a day quite easy.

On the downside... it looks like I'm drinking a large bottle of pee....

I'm always behind on mine. Started tracking it with a APP.

A normal day is around 80 oz. I drink 24 oz. the second I'm out of bed. I feel that the early morning water has made a difference in my hydration. If I don't fill bottles and have them with me, I will drink very little water.

I bring three quart bottles of a really weak green tea to work with me every day and try to drink them all during the day.

One kidney left, I'm trying to treat it well.

Just during my work day at least 60oz. That includes lunch. I also have water both before and after work but not sure how much that is.

I probably only take in 40-50 non work out water. Not enough, but like others have said, I just go by urine color. I do like a big 24 ounce bottle after a work out, and if biking, I will finish one an hour. I do get really bored by plain water, so I have started adding Nuun tablets to it even during the day just so it has some flavor and it helps me to drink it. Sadly enough, I am mainly a Diet Mt. Dew gal. It is my one vice I am in no hurry to give up.

During the work day:

~70 oz of carbonated water (Soda Stream = awesome! Makes water less boring).

~35 oz non-carbonated

Outside of the work day, I mostly drink to thirst, but I try to drink another liter before bed or I feel dehydrated when I wake up.

Realized today, that when I get busy at work with a report or something, I ''forget'' to get enough water. Could be why tonight's run was a little tougher than usual. :/
