Just trying to understand the benefits of this combination for a tri bike. Is it that much of a difference compared to just running the smaller wheels on both ends? Also would the smaller wheels and a disc cover for the rear work just as good or better? The smaller wheel set would also have the versatility of doing double duty on an aero road bike.

If you're going to use them on your road bike as well, then I would stick with a set Jet 6's. The 9's are amazing, but they do add a bit of weight (depending on where you are in MA, that may be a factor).

A disc cover will be faster than the Jet 9 rear, so if that's an option for you, that's gives you maximum versatility.

Personally, I use a Jet 9 front, Jet 9 rear or Jet Disk for racing. Awesome combination!

I have Bontrager Race Lite wheels. I was looking into renting Zipp 303's or 404's for race day for Ironman Lake Placid. What time will I save?
