Bought this bike late last year and haven't ridden it as much as I should.

Finally got the flo wheels I've been eyeing for a while, bike looks sweet! Guess I should ride it now...

Next up, clip on aero bars and new saddle!

NICE!!  That bike looks awesome!

We looked at Flo wheels hard and really wanted to buy a set, but they are not on the UCI approved list so they can't be raced in an ITU  DL race.

Thanks! I put this off WAY too long as well. I sold my old bike (Giant TCR) last year, and bought this bike. But have been doing a lot more mountain biking lately so haven't touched it. I've been wanting the wheels for like ever, but finally decided to get them!

Actually, I think my wife decided to finally let me get them so she can stop hearing me cry about it!

Do you know if they are trying to get them on the UCI list?

I don't know......Jr. traded emails with the Flo guys but I can't remember.  I'll ask him.....but that was a year ago so they may have taken steps toward it ....but as of now I know they still aren't on the list.

Nice looking bike & setup, but shouldn't you buy a new saddle before you buy new wheels? I'm going on the assumption you are uncomfortable with the current saddle. I would think you would want that solved first so you can actually ride your bike.

The seat isn't actually uncomfortable. I've done up to 80 miles I think so far in a ride, and felt fine on it.

The challenge is getting into tri-season, I'm going to put some clip-on aero bars on it and road seats aren't terribly comfortable in a TT position; so that's where the new saddle will come into play!

Believe this is due to the carbon part being a fairing. In that it is not structural, so that violates UCI rules. Same for things like disc covers, those are fairings. HED avoids these by bonding the carbon shell to the wheel and claiming it is structural. I could be totally mis-remembering things too. I looked into this a little bit because some of the local'ish road races and TT's follow UCI rules. But then my bike team got a sponsorship by FSA/Vision and I switched to their wheels and sold my Flo's.

Bad a$$ setup, bad a$$ color scheme. Very jealous
You mentioned you sold your Giant TCR. How many miles (races?) did you put on it? How was your long term experience with it? That's my current ride, and though stiff, I enjoy it's race handling.

Here's the ol girl the Giant I sold last year.

I liked that bike! It was a stiff bike it it was actually really comfortable and responded well on downhills, climbed just as good.

Only reason I sold it was because I wanted a new one and new power meter (which I have yet to get!). Other then that it was a great bike.

Gotta give it up for the bike porn!  Nice ride.

And a bonus - even gratuitous - extra pic in there, to boot!  (bootie?)  Daily double!

I am in the market for a new road bike, at several local bike stores I will test ride several bikes. Other than basic fit and components, how should I compare them while doing a test ride?

My back wheel needs to be trued up. It has a slight side-to-side wobble, and I feel at times like I'm going to lose control when I ride. Is this something that I should only trust to my LBS to do?

The wheels are my first area of concern and I have started to shop around. I find it nauseating to think of spending the same amount for wheels as my bike. Any help?

Don't know how to take that rear wheel off of your bike? Is the chain making things difficult? Learn how to remove your rear wheel if you have to change your bike tire or fix a flat.

This article estimates how much time can be saved in sprint races by converting from stock aero wheels found on most tri bikes to more aero disk and composite spoked wheels.
