Finally broke 500 miles yesterday. Hopefully will catch the rabbit next week.

Don and Justin, WTG. Both of you are past the rabbit!

Kirsten, thanks. Don't know what I did to hurt the back but since it appears to be a pulled muscle, it will heal in time. I have to run slow and easy tho because any extra arm swing angers it.

I passed the rabbit! Yay! But rabbit and I will play leapfrog for another week or two as we take a mini vaca next weekend. But hopefully I’ll stay ahead of that rabbit afterwards.

Come on everyone, report in. Hope all are having a good summer.

Congrats! I've been whittling down the distance between me and the rabbit every day, and I'm 92 miles behind (it used to be A LOT more). According to my superb calculations I should catch it by the end of August or even a little sooner.

Have a great vacation

Put myself in the red again because I put my true goal for the year. Not sure if I will make it but wanted to up the goal to a new high for me.

Hey, who is Participant 4? Doing very well! And so is Don. Don, tell me, why the odd goal of 1245? I know there is some logic associated with it.

I'm at 655 miles. This may be my first 1000 mile year since around 1980.

I'm tempted to just tell you I'm Canadian and make you figure out the reason for the odd goal, but....

1243 miles is 2000km. Being conversant in miles and km gives me more options for round-numbered goals.

I noticed that you were in the red and it took me a minute to figure out that the reason was a change in your goal. You're pretty close - maybe you should up yours a bit and run 1243 miles / 2000km.

WTG, Nickster!!!!

Don, ah, I should have figured it out and might have if I had noticed your location. I wouldn't have been able to do in my head but ever since I started running, I bookmarked a conversion site. Hmm, 2000km would be nice a goal although I don't know if I could make it. The 1225 miles is iffy but we shall see.

This thread is getting too far down the list. So I'll add a few random thoughts...

When I tallied my total for the week on Sunday, it came to 54.4 km (33.8) miles. Which got me wondering about the longest distance that I had ever run in one week. When I checked I found that 54.8 km, in March 2015, was my biggest running week ever. If I had only known I would have run another 500 or 600 metres on Sunday.

I have run over 100 miles every month so far in 2015. My goal of 2000 km requires an average of 103.6 miles per month. I haven't participated in the "100 miles in a month" challenges but they would work well with my distance goal for the year. I'm planning to have some extra miles banked by winter so that I can shift my focus to cross country skiing in December. So far so good.

It looks like I'll pass Justin this week. I'm hoping this is just because he hasn't been updating the spreadsheet and not because something has happened that prevents him from running.

Well, I am waaaay behind!  Tweaked my bad knee a few weeks back, thankfully AFTER my IM!  Slowly getting back running and knee is feeling better.  Not going to get too close to 1000, but I'll keep on keeping on.  Hope everyone is doing well!

Well done so far everyone!

I think I may have technically passed the pace rabbit earlier in the month, but I was away from my computer for a week when it happened so I'm not sure. I had a couple recovery weeks so I'm a little bit behind but I'm starting to whittle it down again. I'll be passing 700 on my next run, and my training picks back up next week so I'll catch that rabbit soon enough.

Best of luck to everyone on our last 3 months starting tomorrow!

Nice work! It's good to see some more black on the board.
I just noticed that I need more 100.0 miles to reach my goal.

WTG Jamie! And now with all of the mileage that you are doing, you'll pass us all.

Ok, I'm in the red right now. Need to get back at it. Hopefully will do some work over the holiday break and can keep myself at it. Will be pacing a friend soon and need to make sure I can hang with her for a while. And then keep enough long runs to do a slow, easy marathon in February.

11 more miles to reach my goal. I thought I had a chance to reach my goal by the end of November but...
I will probably run about 6 miles on my lunch break tomorrow (Nov 30). I'll need one run in December to crack 2000 km for the year.
And just in time - there's snow in the mountains - the cross country skiing is fabulous for November!
I can't resist posting some photos. The mountain sheep were literally licking my car to get the salt.

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
