At long last, I'm "going production" with my own entry into the fray, Triweaver .

I've put up a review on the blog to aid in getting folks familiar with what it does and why: http://quantitativetriathlon.blogspot.com/...eview-triweaver.html

If you're looking for a training tracking tool specific to data-driven triathletes (i.e. those that use a Garmin, Suunto, Trainerroad, or Strava in training to collect data points for analysis), Triweaver is for you. It's completely free, web based, works great on mobile phones, and allows for detailed coach interaction. I'm also going to release the user interface side of things to open source, so the savvy programmer types can help extend it in ways I haven't even thought of. If you have any troubles at all, let me know and I'll get you sorted out as quick as I can. Hope you like it!

Cool, congrats. What sort of underlying metrics are you using?

Thanks!
Training load is expressed in Triweaver as best pace percentages dependent on the sport. For running it's using percentage of VO2 where VO2 is calculate from the best 5k+ run, for biking FTP, and for swimming percentage of best 200 time. All personal bests are culled on a rolling three month basis from actual data, encouraging athletes naturally to test often, in a "use it or lose it" fashion. I tried out several different formulas simultaneously over months before settling on these, as they "felt" like the truest representation of threshold after experimentation.

Triweaver is also unique in that planned workouts are created in percentages of your bests, such as 10 minutes at 75%, and then when it's time to do it! your actual personal bests are used to calculate what that means in terms of actual pace. This way, coaches and athletes can re-use workouts over time and they will automatically adjust to the athletes current ability.

I've been using triweaver myself for training for about six months and I've found it strikes the right balance in terms of challenge and fairness to keep up with a given plan, and I've also seen positive results, in that I've gotten better across the board and I'm not over fatigued nor injured. My sincere hope is that everyone finds the same results and does so for FREE, as I have. There's simply no need to continue paying hundreds of dollars a year for the competition!

Sounds cool . . . except it won't let me create a profile.  I have tried four different times on two different PC's using Chrome, FF, and IE.  It let me register, then when I log in it goes to the page where it says I have to setup the profile.  I do that and it hangs with a progress bar that says "Loading."  The last time, I waited 5-minutes before I closed the window.  Every time I log in it takes me back to "Welcome aboard! First, define your profile."

Would love to try it but it just doesn't seem to want to let me.

Same problem here... I tried creating a profile and it's stuck on the loading phase after I click save.

Well that sucked!
Sorry about that, it should be all better now, give it a go. I'd recently moved the site to an Amazon server for increased robustness, and it introduced a bug I hadn't seen during months of testing, very sorry!

Well, now it seems to have lost my log-in credentials as it is just telling me, "Invalid login attempt."

Really good idea . . . I think.  I am an IT guy so I understand what's involved with a new launch.  Just to many kinks for me and I don't have the time to be a beta tester.

Not sure what the issue is, but if you're having trouble with your password, there's a 'forgot your password?' link right below the log in form. I hope it works out for you, it's a great tool!
