Way to go. I'm way behind I'm sitting at 51 miles and that was a stretch for me. The heat down here doesn't help. I'm up for a redo for July though.

All week long I've been trying to take it easy on my back and let it heal. No dadgum difference so I've decided that it's a pulled muscle, it hurts no matter what I do, so suck it up. Went out this morn and while it was slow and I decided that I should walk any major inclines, it was great to get out there. So I'm at 88.7 miles right now and going to do my best to make it to 100 miles for this month.

Good to see new people on the challenge!

I am sadly behind, right at a pitiful 40 miles. Ah well. I will do better next month. Onward and upward!

Great job everyone! I will not make the 100 mark either but it's the effort that counts. I made it to 85.86 miles today and feel great with that number considering I starting running about 5 months ago. I made it to a 5k race and 10k race this month with a PR at the 10k and third in my age group 40-49.

Thanx 4 All The Positive Reinforcements!!! Reached 93.7 miles with 2day & 2mar still 2 go. The Boy Dog & I have only one problem, its going 2 be 100F & 102 F out here in GJ, CO.

But we are going 2 give to our best shot this evening!!! Here is more from the higher ground where the snow has disappeared in just 7 short days. This is on the south side of the San Juan range, beautiful, sweet camping spots, and a blanket of stars at night.

Stay Strong, Stay Hydrated, And Lets Add Up Some Miles By Tuesday

Cheers

Never in a million years….. I Can Do It….. Only have a 5k on Tuesday….. That will put me over the century mark….. Never in a million did I ever think I could do triple digits of single track, scrambling, & track workouts….. Plus….. Biked 209 miles…. Swam for 8 hours….. Volunteered at the Palisade Bluegrass Fest, Worked Country Jam, Worked Loudwire Fest, 35 hours in the office, 40 hours during week 10 & my final week of Ortho classes, 5 hours of cleaning for trade at my gym, & I am proud to say that the Boy Dog tripled my running numbers easily and he's 9 years young….. So stoked about the thought of running in lane #8 at Stoker Stadium tomorrow….. Its going to be the most relaxing 3.5 miles ever….. Soaking Up The Atmosphere…. GO TEAM HUMAN

85.86 miles only 5 months after starting to run. Dang!!!!

Gorgeous photos.

Ok, I made it. 100 miles even. Hope I can get out for a short run tomorrow morn too. Funny but this wonky back may actually help me some. Since I'm having to go so slow and with short steps, I decided that I could at least stop the shuffling and focus on light footsteps and midfoot strike. Now let's see if can remember that when my back stops hurting and I can lengthen my stride.

Wow, congratulations to everyone who hit 100 or more for the month of June! And to those of us who didn't quite make it, congratulations on a mighty effort! I'm in the latter group, with a whopping 51 miles for the month of June. July is going to be a different story!

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
