Subject: sick during peak week - advice appreciated
Came down with nasty cold about 10 days out from my a race - only in Austin

Continued , some light training for about 3 days - missed key workouts.

Feeling a bit better with 5 days out but my numbers are useful compared to 2 weeks ago

To make th www most out if race what should my training racing strategy be

My advice is to rest up. If your training is solid, then the 10 days leading up to the race should be a taper anyway. Don't push your workouts, eat really well (healthy), get plenty of rest and water, and see how you feel on race day. I've done a couple run races with colds and managed to survive. You probably won't race well, but at this point, your goal would probably more likely to just finish and keep getting back to full health. Good luck!

Put all emphasis on the recovery. Don't try to sneak stuff in. The sooner you get over this, the sooner you get better.
