Hey all,

We've been pretty quiet. Just wanted to see what everyone is up to this summer?

I've been run focused. I did a marathon in Ft. Collins (CO) in May and now I'm training to do the Pikes Peak Ascent (with Salty). So I've been running the trails on the Sandias and plan to do Wheeler Peak once or twice before August.

What are y'all up to?

So far I've done IM 70.3 TX, Buffman and Squeaky olympic tri, and Milkman tri. Along with a whole bunch of bike races. 70.3 Buffalo Springs is this month. Maybe 70.3 Austin in the fall. Then the whole cyclocross season!

Hello all. I did the Retro Tri and also did the Milkman this past weekend. Next up is the Senior Olympic National Games in Minneapolis. It will be my first time doing a destination race and I'm pretty nervous about the logistics especially shipping my bike.

I did Spring Fling, Retro, and Milkman but I'm dong more trail running the second half of this year. Milkman seemed really small this year. Where have all the triathletes gone?

IDK. I'd think people would be doing races to practice for Toughman! Maybe people are going to out of town races. I've always had better experiences at races in Colorado.

What races do you like in Colorado? I'm looking for recommendations for next year...

Tri for the Cure in Aurora is great if you like big (albeit casual) races.

The Oktoberfest Tri in Loveland is smaller but a lot of fun. Flat bike!

I've not done Silverthorne but it's on my to do list.

As for running races RnR Denver is great and this year I did the Colorado Marathon. Beautiful course! (most of it anyway)

After you have established the Ironman goal, the most important factor outside of the training is which race to choose? What is your best sort of course, hilly, rolling, flat?
