Good morning!

Heading out for a run, somewhere in the hour to hour and a half range. Then off to the pool for the day!

Have a great day!

Hey there everyone!

Sunday is usually my rest day, but because the kids are out of school, I have to shuffle workouts around.

1100yd today - wow the pool was crowded.

Thus ends recovery week and it's back on for the next 3 weeks.

Rest Day for me. I've been going strong with my training, but we had a sudden heat day (went from upper 60s to 93), so I'm hiding inside, resting.

I'm resting, too. My legs are sore from yesterday so I'll have to stretch them out and find my foam roller.

Hi kids,

I found a cool park near my house and ran 10 miles. It was soooo pretty, and I'll definitely be returning there. There's a creek going through the middle of it, heavily wooded with trails throughout. The first interesting thing I saw along my route was a lone dude on the trail who was belting out an opera tune like it was opening night. Next was a group of about 40 people playing some kind of game where they were dressed in medieval clothes/armor, with foam swords and shields and when someone yelled GO they all ran at each other for a round of sword fighting. These weren't 8 year old kids either. They were full grown adults. But anyway the 10 miles felt good after yesterday's 6. I think I pushed it too hard earlier in the week so I needed to take an extra rest day, but it was worth it. Have a great rest of your Sundays.

Have heard of people doing that. Guess it's no weirder than spending all of Sunday morning dressed in spandex riding around in circles on a weird-looking bike, then running in the hottest part of the day (aka long brick)!

3 hour and change bike ride, plus 40 minute run. 30 minutes of strength stuff later. Plus hauling two bags of cat litter about half a mile each from the store. (This has been going on all week. My housekeeper, who's very petite, wants me to stockpile enough for the summer so she doesn't have to haul it while she cares for my fur children. So it's kind of become part of my strength routine lately--every time I go to the store, I pick up a bag.)

Had a little excitement on my ride, too. Had to swerve to avoid two ladies who had set up a picnic in the middle of the road. (There isn't much traffic in the industrial park on Sunday, but still.....) Plus a bunch of guys from Harley Davidson were setting up a motorcycle agility course with cones on one stretch. The event hadn't started yet, so I amused them by going through a couple of times, on the tri bike in aero. (Did slow down for that!)

Under the wire here in EST,

no training just a 7km walk with my family in the pouring rain, its great when your company eclipses the weather, and you have a great time getting soaked to the bone.

Feeling confident and cocky, after finally losing some weight, I got off my back side and into triathlon.
