Swim

  • 547 yards
  • 01m 06s / 100 yards
Comments:

Good start. Pointed myself slightly off course right at the begining. Fixed it pretty quickly. No one caught my feet and swam clear of the wave. Eased up at the finish to prepare for bike.
What would you do differently?:

not much.
Transition 1
  • 00m 48s
Comments:

uneventful. had to run through a little mud to get to my bike but that was it. put on helmet and left.
What would you do differently?:

nada
Bike
  • 31m 21s
  • 12 miles
  • 22.97 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt pretty comfortable on the ride. kept a pretty high cadence and kept breathing in check. Due to my current training for hawaii, I have no speed/power in my legs. Could have kept up the pace I was riding for a much longer distance without problem.
What would you do differently?:

Not much really. I suppose if I really prepared for this race I would have done some speed work leading up to it to get a little more out of my ride.
Transition 2
  • 00m 48s
Comments:

Again, uneventful. hopped off, put on my shoes, grabbed hat and number and took off.
What would you do differently?:

zippo
Run
  • 20m 16s
  • 3 miles
  • 06m 46s  min/mile
Comments:

No speed in my legs at all. felt like a training run. a little disapointed with my time. A friend who wore a gps told me teh run was 3.2, which would be much closer to my expectation from a time/speed perspective.
Post race
Warm down:

Put on trainers and ran another 2 miles. Felt comfortable for the weather conditions (very hot and humid)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

not speedwork/wights

Event comments:

Would highly recommend

Wow...I did this race and I was at the bottom of the rankings.  You did a phenominal job on the race!  Your swim pace was incredible!  Congratulations on first place in your AG!
