$500 without cranks, but $750 with cranks. I haven't researched this to be honest but just curious do you need to purchase the cranks for it, or can you use cranks that came with your bike?

The $499 is with cranks but no chain rings which are another $99.

You could Use existing rings if you have some.

It depends on your current crankset. If you have a removable spider you can probably use your current crankset. If you have an integrated spider for example SRAM Force you will have to get new crank as well. It's best to check the website for compatibility.

I ordered the p2max classic FSA Gossamer last night for $499.00 with the bottom bracket it came out to $535.00 out the door. That's a very good deal for a crank based power meter.

Just to clarify the $499.00 I spent included the FSA crank, I will just swap my current 50/34 rings to the new crankset.

Just as a heads up, the FSA Gossamer crank is compatible with any Hollowtech II bottom bracket. This means that if your bike has a pinch-bolt style Shimano crankset, you won't even need a new bottom bracket. The fit may be a little tight due to manufacturing tolerances, but it will fit.

As an alternative, Stages just put their GXP Rival power meter on closeout. $349 for the left crank arm only or $399 for the whole crankset. I don't personally think that the data is as good as the Power2Max, but it is another option.

I have a BB30 that is "Pressfit", this means I still need the bottom bracket adapter?

Compatible frame formats BB30**, BB86, BB90, BSA68, ITA70

(** Only with adapter – Rotor 3D Plus recommended)
