Pre-race routine:

Went to Papa Vino's for dinner...had a shitty dinner. Chicken and pasta thing, and the chicken was gross, and angel hair, I hate angel hair, don't know why I got it.

Didn't sleep well either.

Had some peanut butter and a 1/2 of my powerbar and some gatorade.
Event warmup:

Lots of stretching, getting ready for the hills...now that I know they are there.

Did some jogging beforehand, while waiting for 10k.

You finish on the 50 yard line at Notre Dame, so that was REALLY cool!

Wore my blue Nike running outfit...must get a new pair of my shoes, I think they have enough miles on them.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing except figure out the whole side issue thing. Other than that, felt fine. Beat my time from 2004 by 3 minutes, which is really good. Really just need to have the side thing figured out. All my speed work I think is paying off.

Got lots to drink, and they had some fresh fruit.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Side pain...think it might be the oblique flaring up.

Course: I think there are a total of 3 hills, one of which is about 1.5 miles before finish, and I was pooped, and REALLY hot, and by then, my stomach had started to cramp...so annoying. Is it hydration or is it breathing, or is it that stupid oblique injury flaring up again? Ran it with Tom, and he finished ahead of me, kind of annoyed me that I couldn't keep up with him, but my side hurt everytime I inhaled. My neck hurt a little too...need to get a massage.
