Run
Comments: Start was good, was able to maintain quite a fast pace and overtook some people for at least the first 6km. As I go down the bridge, I overtook more people as I open up my steps. At the 7km mark, I took my first Powergel I felt that I slowed down a bit as I go into East Coast. Stopped to go to the toilet and continue running. Along the way at Nicoll Highway, there was some music playing and it was Ricky Martin's World Cup song. 'Go Go Go, ole ole ole'. I was very motivated. I start to pick up my speed again after the 15km with a few stops in between at traffic junction. By the time I reached the 19km, I was able to open up my strides and maintain it that way till the finishing line. What would you do differently?: Felt that it was my best effort for a race so far. Quite happy about it. Post race
Warm down: Did some stretching, took a banana, a cup of milo and a cup of water after the race. Event comments: It is a personal best race for me. Felt very good about my achievement. The only thing that is not so good is probably the many traffic junctions that we have to stop. The result was release but it is based on GUN time. Chip timing was not released. Quite dissapppointed as my chip timing is sub-2 hours. Last updated: 2006-07-27 12:00 AM

Got up at 3am, eat 2 full-boiled eggs, 1 yogurt, 1 banana and 1 cup of MILO.
Before the race, I was looking for toilet but the queues were long. Thus, decided to run to the start point as the race was about to begin.
