Well, this sucks. I've been sick since Thursday. I have a pretty bad cold. Aches, sore throat, coughing up junk. I feel like crap. I haven't been able to train obviously and feel like I've gained 10 lbs of fat. I've been snacking on ice cream at night. Anyway, I'm sure everyone has gone through this before. I just needed to vent it and hopefully talking about it will help with the depression. I hope to get back into my routine as soon as its out of my chest.

It looks like I posted this in the wrong category. Sorry. Maybe a mod can move it into the Injuries forum. I know this post is redundant too, I just had to vent a bit. Cya.

I know the feeling.  I've had colds that knock me out for a few weeks.  Sometimes it's just better to take the time off and take good care of yourself.  Hope you are feeling better soon and you get back to the training.  Try not to go crazy in the meantime.

I am right with you! Been sick since Thursday. I'm planning on going out for a sloooww bike ride today, and maybe a quick jog.  I'm going freakin' nuts!  (Maybe the break will do us some good - ready to build for fall races!?!)

Had a myelogram on Monday, and complication from it kept me on my back until Saturday AM. Saturday I went for a really easy slow longish ride, and yesterday I tried to go jogging (yes, I said the "J" word, was going to take it REALLY easy and look like the local neighborhood joggers). I got about 1/4 mile out, hit the hill and by the top, I felt POOPED. I don't think my body is ready for a run yet, which stinks, I have a sprint tri with a 4 mile run next weekend.
