Good morning BT!

4:30am:  1:15 on the trainer

4:45am:  :30 minutes strength--still figuring out the TRX system so I wasn't very efficient, but I'm getting there!

Later:  out to swim at Blue!  My younger daughter has been driving me crazy begging to go back out so she can swim too. I've created a monster!

Crazy, busy week ahead...bring it on!

Have a terrific day!

5:20 AM One hour of trainer fun
4:30 PM 3000m of swimming, mostly 300 repeats

Ready for bed! Too tired to post yesterday after really hot 3:15 MTB ride and brick run after. Think I just overheated as I felt hot (really) all day yesterday, all night, and much of today until I jumped into our shockingly cold pool! Think my core temp has finally gone down and I can get some quality sleep.

G'morn right back atcha!

5:00am:  75 minute run (9.23 miles on a hilly course with the head lamp)

Later:  1050 meter lunch break swim.

One month to IM 70.3 St. George.  I am feeling under prepared.  Work has been crazy and it has cut into a lot of training time.  This is the busy time of the year for the hobby farm and that has cut into some training time too.  I just need to stay focused and get'er done for a few more weeks.  Then I can slow things down and enjoy the summer.

Keep it real!

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
