I finally found a great swimming teacher. Before I tried a few , but they did not help me a lot. He corrected the position of my head in the water, thought me how to breathe and breath out by a nose. He also corrected my pull. I feel like I improved a lot during 30 minutes.

He is not cheap. I paid 168 or four session, but It was money spend really well.

Congratulations on finding a teacher that works for you. $42 per lesson is not expensive if it's 45 minutes to an hour.

Yeah - around 40 bucks a lesson is a STEAL! Most of the good swim coaches around here are around $75! Glad it went well! Will make a huge difference in your swimming! I need to make an appt with mine, my swim is going downhill !

It was only 30 min lesson, but he said he would spend more time with me next time. Also, he works at my gym so if I see him at the swimmimg pool he can always give me some pointers. 30 minutes were enough because he already corrected three things, so I have to work on them. I would be confused if we did too many things at once.

I took this lesson because I was getting so frustrated with not making progress in my swimming. I had lessons before but these teachers were not good, One told me you need to have a better feel for water. How this was supposed to help me with my technique?

I feel like swim lessons was the best money I've ever spent on anything tri related that wasn't necessary. I spent about $60 per lesson in a package deal and I don't even slightly regret it. Congrats, but don't forget that you need to keep practicing and putting in the pool time so it becomes natural. I spent a lot of time in the pool between lessons cementing in the previous lesson so I didn't have to waste any time repeating things.

I have 10 lessons with a coach and he keeps telling my I'm holding my breath. I cannot figure out where since I'm breathing out and in every 3rd stroke. Any drill recommendations?

The three drills we will be focusing on today are a more “advanced” version of catch-up, which help you with distance per stroke AND keep you rotating from side to side (hip rotation).
