Total impulse buy, but I just picked up Triathletes in Motion. Anybody else read/use this? I am so totally lost by this book, but I'd love to hear if anyone can help me translate this.

Great information within and comprehensive but difficult to follow therefore...not super useful for me.

Seriously... I'm sure that someone with more background knowledge might make more sense of it than I, but there are so many intersecting pieces here. Every chapter cross-references the other chapters for more info, and I'm not convinced that all of the references even point to the same place... or I'm understanding even less than I thought!

Gonna put this down and go run now.

There are simpler methods of assessing your movement screen, several of the assessments in that book test too many components at once, so it may be a quick screen for a physical therapist but not for a triathlete who is self coached.

It's still interesting but it's more of a "physical therapy lite" approach rather than something a triathlete can do right now.

If one muscle has restrictions it can limit the range of motion on the connecting joint and have a domino effect as that tension and restriction is carried down the chain.
