I'm in! There was a story on the local news last night about the lake. It is lower, and they said there are steep drop offs in the water. On the Pigman facebook site, they said the swim is still on even though the beach will be closed all summer. They said the run from the water to transition will be longer than in years past because of the low water level.
It wasn't bad other than the mud pit under those first 10 yards or so. I injured my foot on a rock while running through the water at the start of the swim, but I can walk on it. Thought the race was good. Placed first in my AG (30-34). Only downside I thought was people zoning out while riding in the middle of the lane, and the run being long. Great race though!
Congrats! My husband has cuts on the bottom of both of his feet from the rocks, too. My race wasn't the greatest, I think my legs were still tired from my century ride last weekend. The wind wasn't fun, either, whenever we were biking north! I still managed to finish 2nd in the Athena, so I can't complain!
