Hi, team...Just wanted to make sure y'all saw the update that the
TriClough course has changed from last year, due to some
pavement/flooding issues. I did the course on Sunday, and I will say it
is (I feel) easier and faster than last year, though the bike is
close to 18 miles - NOT 14. The pavement is still rough in patches,
and the steep hills are replaced with one long, steady climb (which
you do twice). The run goes out on the road and then across the dam,
so no trail running down that rocky ravine (good!). The map on the
TriClough Web site is from last year. (oops!)

The water is warm(er) than Ellacoya/Timberman, and the beach is nice and
clean. One odd thing is seeing that most of the trees are dead up to
about 50', because the park literally was underwater for months; you
can see the line where the water crept up and swallowed everything.

Here are the official course changes:

BIKE:
Exit Park and take left onto Everett Dam Rd
Left onto Mansion
Right onto Winslow
Right onto Rt. 13
Right onto Barnard Hill Rd
Right onto Mansion
Right onto Winslow
Right onto Rt. 13
Right onto Barnard Hill Rd
Left onto Mansion
Right onto Everett Dam Rd
Right into Clough State Park

RUN:
Exit Park and take right onto Everett Dam Rd
Run out and back onto Everett Dam Rd
Take left thru gate that leads to dam
Run out and back along dam around Gazebo
Left hand turn down driveway into Park
Finish in front of beach area

Thanks for the great info, but I think it's not going to work in our family schedule to do a tri that week-end after all.  I'll keep it in mind for next year, though!
