Pre-race routine:

Got up, had some peanut butter toast and coffee and then headed off to the race.
Event warmup:

About a mile of light jogging followed by some stretching.

Comments:

Pretty uneventful run. Besides the initial surge at the start, never got passed. Passed a few people in the last mile. Thought I had a shot at breaking 23 minutes so kicked pretty hard during the last 200 yards. Fell a little short, but overall a great race for me.
What would you do differently?:

This was a personal best for a 5k, so I can't complain. I should have pushed harder between mile 1 and 2--that split was very slow.
Post race
Warm down:

Waited for my wife to finish, then grabbed some water and cookies. Stuck around for the awards and raffle.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing, this was a personal best for me.

Event comments:

This was the second year for this race. They had a few minor growing pains but overall a good race.

Nice race, congrats on the PR and first in AG too.  I can only dream of running that fast right now.
