QC tri..

I am a lurker on this website and a total noob when it comes to tris, but I signed up today. My only other race was a sprint last year in Peoria. I am hoping the lake swim is better then the river!

If all goes well with respect to training, I hope to do the Olympic distance in Des Moines in September.

Welcome and congratulations on getting signed up! This is always a fun race, will be my 3 year doing the QC tri. The lake swim is a little easier. Still dark and gloomy, but you can at least see the other side. Not sure where you are from, I'm in the Quad Cities area, but a few of us will do some lake swims when it gets warmer to help acclimate ourselves to it. You are welcome to join us.
