Subject: Winter Maintenance
Hi everyone!

I just did my first sprint distance race at the Chicago Triathlon on August 28th after completing the Sprint - 2x balanced 16 week program. I want to keep going and not lose what I gained and was considering starting the Winter Maint/Prep - 4 to 7 hours - 20 week. Would this be a logical program for someone coming off of their first sprint distance triathlon? I won't be doing anymore races this year, and then will start another race specific program next year after the winter maintenance program. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you

Josh

I would do a plan that has a focus on your weakest discipline.

X2 on what Bo stated. You can also use the Winter Maintenance 8wk focus programs to work all three sports.  Breaks up the long period in 3 mini programs to keep things "exciting"!

X3.... I'll add, as I'm a big proponent, that weight training may be in good measure.
