Subject: 3.5.17 Sunday Funday!

Hey BT!

After sleeping in a bit...ok until 11:00am! I finally got moving.

12pm:  2:00 on the bike trainer, 20 minute intervals.  I have a love/hate relationship with those long grinds!

 I was supposed to head to Blue Lake to swim today but we have winds gusting up to 50 mph today with rain--I'll pass swimming in that.  I'm sure not getting in much swimming...yikes.

 

Robert, congrats on the great swim and epic ride, sorry the run was less than epic! Yes, two months to go!

I slept in too, then took a nap and went to bed early! Think I should be caught up on my sleep now.

7:30 AM 1:15 trainer ride with some high-cadence and big-gear pickups; followed by 16 minute brick run.

Building back toward normal volume/intensity this week. My total for February was (I think) 14 hours of training. So glad my race isn't till late June--I would not be there by May.

Happy Sunday!

60 minute pool ladder workout followed by a modified 45 minute trainer road build.

Did a 75 minute Z2 run outside this afternoon with my Vizsla.

Up early and out for a 9mile run at the beach. It was a little slow due to the ride/hill work yesterday. Really took me down a notch, and needs to solid recovery for this next week.

Oceanside 70.3 is only a few weeks away on April 1st. I can't believe it!!

45 minute stretching and strength routine.  I've struggled with hip flexor issues for the last few months but this routine is making things better.

Then 500 yards in the pool.
