Pre-race routine:

woke up, had coffee and glass of water. Ate a honey stinger waffle for breakfast

Event warmup:

jogged for about 1 mile, then did 4x strides to get my heart rate and legs moving.

Comments:

legs felt very sluggish in the beginning, but I kept it together on the hill. Sprinted the last block (100m?) and had a really good kick at the end. It was nice to have something to give at the end.
