Subject: Using Forerunner 910Xt for Mtn Biking
Hey Everyone...I am curious to see who else here uses their forerunner 910XT for Mountain Biking. I tried setting up a second bike profile yesterday for my mountain bike, but did not see an option to use it for mountain biking...maybe there isnt one. Also...since most of the mountain biking i do in AZ has a lot of climbing, speed tends to be way slower so I am thinking the garmin registers a lower calorie burn compared to road cycling.

Is the 910 only going to be good for telling me distance, grade and time when it comes to mtn biking or does anyone here know how to set up the garmin for this sport?

Cycling is cycling to the watch...no need to set it up differently than any other cycling activity. If I'm not mistaken, the watch is going to use heart rate and duration to calculate calorie burn ... effort and duration matter, not speed.
