Hey Mainers! Who is racing at Lobsterman this weekend? Have any of you been on the bike course?

I will be there!  I did the bike course over the weekend with Jeff (Jackemy) who is also registered to race.  If you haven't seen it, it's mostly hills and you will feel like you are either going uphill, downhill, or about to do one or the other for most of the ride.  It is a fun course though!

Oh boy, another one of those. The bike course was like that at shipbuilder's and I found it to be pretty tough.  I wonder if the run is the same. The description says, "rolling."  Should be a fun day though!

I saw on the weather this a.m. that there may be morning fog on the coast on Sat. Is that reason to call it off?

Congrats on a great job Mike! I just read your race report. How did it go for you Jackemy? I had to pull out much to my dismay. I crashed my bike in August and I am still dealing with a rotator cuff injury.  I just couldn't risk it on the swim.  Was it a fun day? I am curious to hear about the venue and the lobsterfest after. It sounded like a beautiful location and fun day.

thanks Angela,

Sorry to hear about your shoulder    The weather was great. And the course was challenging and fun.  Lobsterbake was awesome.

just saw this...you missed a great event at the Lobsterman!

Perfect weather, challenging course, good times.

I felt "flat" from the get go and wondered throughout "why do I do this?"

But was glad when it was over.

Could not stay for the Lobster bake as I had a family function to attend.
