Subject: Guelph Lake
Hey all,

Just wondering if anybody is going to be at Guelph Lake on September 2nd, my first try-a-tri and would be nice to have some friendly faces!

If anybody has any advice I'd love to hear it!

Not this year, I have done it a few times (I'm currently 24.5 weeks pregnant so no racing right now). Have you swam at guelph lake to practice at all? the run from the lake to transition is pretty steep. take it easy coming up the hill. have fun!

A couple of things to keep in mind for this race:

1)  The ride outside of the park is a bit bumpy, although I haven't ridden it in a couple of years so perhaps it's been paved.  So keep in mind that it will not likely be an ultra smooth road.

2)  The run inside the park has some little ups and downs, and doesn't have a whole lot of flat.  Your run distance is not very far, but keep that in mind.

Otherwise, the venue is really nice, so have fun.
