Subject: RE: Masters Swim in Jacksonville There's a team that swims at UNF, that I don't know much about. I have done the Episcopal High School team practices quite a bit, and this has been a good group. They have Tues-Thurs. practices at 6:30 PM. There's also a group in the mornings at Episcopal at 5:30 AM (!) that I haven't been able to drag my *ss out of bed for. Other places to swim: great pool at the Cecil Aquatics Center (Westside, near Cecil Field, where I swim). It's free and huge, and often nearly deserted. There are YMCAs around town, and the downtown Yates Y has had signs for a Master's swim practice; I don't know much more than that. For stuff out toward the beaches I suggest checking the Hammerhead web site and emailing Susan Wallis, who lives in Ponte Vedra. They've had a couple of clinics at Brooks, at least. |
